Eve must have dropped everything and rushed over after hearing about what happened to her during the blood moon. It's a realization that makes Corrin smile. "Yeah, it is. I had enough energy saved in my crystal and it seemed like a worthwhile investment. Makes the place more livable. Gods, I do not know how I ever managed without indoor plumbing!"
After a moment, Corrin's eyes opens and she looks over, out towards the open door. "I appreciate your concern Eve, but I'm fine now. My friend Jasmine, the one I mentioned? Turns out she's a crack shot with a bow. Took right care of me."
"I'll keep it open only because I'm here," Eve will announce without a second thought, feeling slightly annoyed by Corrin's defenses being so low. She may be a kid compared to her, but Eve was as much of a danger as everyone else. A piece of her was trying her best to keep her gaze on Corrin's eyes than anywhere else.
Without much else to say, Eve will make herself at home as she heads over to one of the empty rooms. Corrin's voice was close by. The story will leave her quiet as Eve eyes her own crystal. A black obsidian crystal in the form of a Moravian star. How much did she have left after buying the television with DVD player? For now, it didn't matter.
Placing her small sack onto her new bed, Eve will take out the wooden music box she was carrying with care. Trying to find a secure spot for it. "Did you have indoor plumbing in your world?" asked Eve next out loud wondering if it were the case or not.
At the mention of her experience in transforming into a werewolf, Eve will recognize the name as it was mentioned once beforehand. "I'll have to give my gratitude to them as well," she'll add, keeping in the name on the back of her mind. There will be a slight pause as Eve decides to lie on her new bed, eyeing the music box next to her, "What did it feel like in becoming a werewolf? I wonder what the qualifications were in transforming into one. Not everyone did."
Corrin's personal security habits have slipped, it's true. Once she realized no ninja would come sneaking in the night to take her life, her guard had lowered, and gladly. It felt nice to be able to relax again, especially in the places she should feel safe. And Eve's presence is comforting. A shame she's already set up elsewhere.
Taking some soap, she begins washing; might as well get clean while she soaks. "No, not at all." She calls back, glancing out the door. Is Eve still in the living room? "No electricity either, but magic helps make that up a little. I had no idea what I've been missing! You know, thidls is the quickest I've ever drawn a bath?" She lifts a leg out of the water to scrub it down more easily. "I suppose it's more common in your world?"
Eve's desire to express her gratitude to Jasmine elicits a fond smile. "I'm sure she'd be happy to make your acquaintance. She's a fighter, like you." Maybe a bit more proper—a bit more—but the same sort of fire that Eve had; controlled, but ready to burn bright and hot when called for.
She hesitates at the next question. "It was...strange." She says finally. "I remember watching myself start to change and thinking it should hurt, but it didn't. And then...I mean, I blacked out soon after, but...for a moment it felt..." She lowers herself in the tub. "...Exhilarating."
She hates remembering that rush, the thrill of power surging within her right before she blacked out. It came with a loss of control and becoming a danger to her friends. Nothing is worth that. "I don't know why I was affected, but I wish I hadn't been. It's not an experience I'd care to repeat, or wish on anyone else."
After a moment, Corrin leans forward. "Eve, are you in the living room?" She can't see the younger girl out there in there from the tub, and her voice sounds like it might be coming from elsewhere.
"Quite common. Most homes have clean plumbing and electricity," answered Eve truthfully concerning the topic. She can only imagine Corrin's excitement after realizing the efficiency especially from the tone of her voice. It was obvious. "How did magic replace electricity in your world?" asked Eve next, curious to learn more about Corrin's home now that they're on the subject.
Learning more of this Jasmine, Eve will try to imagine her. A range fighter by the sound of it. Not to mention, wasn't she in charge of something connected to a committee? Corrin did mention it. "I look forward to it. More spar partners, the better," responded Eve next, realizing she could use the practice in handling range weapons without her powers.
When Corrin begins to speak about her experience as a werewolf, it reminded Eve of her own experience whenever she was in Bloodlust mode. She'll raise from her new bed and slowly head to the bathroom. "No. I was in my room," responded Eve without a second though to respond to Corrin's next question before returning to the other topic at hand.
Sitting by the edge of the bathtub, Eve will observe Corrin's expression, adding, "It wasn't your fault. To have briefly enjoyed the exhilaration. It's normal especially when you're not used to the amount of adrenaline that comes with it." She almost added 'at least you didn't kill anyone'. Her mouth will close after realizing that tidbit. Nodding her head, Eve does wonder, "If only we could figure it out, but I doubt it'll be much help. I'm sure the conditions will change the next time it was used. Maybe..." Not to mention the number of probabilities would be endless. But maybe... "I wonder if we should add the amount of those who changed to the census as well," muttered Eve next as she's deep in thought.
"Lucky." Corrin teases lightly. "Guess we have a few centuries to go in my world." Though she's thinking as she says that. "I wonder if maybe I could get some plans or blueprints." She muses. "My younger brother might be able to make sense of them." Or others; Nohr had no shortage of scholars and mages who weren't lacking in intelligence. "Who knows, maybe I could end up jumping my world those centuries ahead!"
She's washing her arms now. "Magic has some utility use. Covers some of the same bases. Fire magic can keep you warm, ice magic can keep things cold. Though probably not as efficiently as electricity can. Too taxing on the mage to keep having to expend that power, you know?" A fridge could keep something cold indefinitely, but a mage would periodically have to refresh the ice.
She laughs. Yes, that is about the conclusion Eve would come to. "She wants to improve her own fighting skills too, so you'll be a good fit for each other." Well, this was going to work out terrifically.
"Oh, okay." Corrin leans back in the tub, closing her eyes. Makes sense that's where Eve would—"Wait, your room?" She starts to sit up, only for Eve to walk back into the bathroom...and sit down on the edge of the tub. Corrin sinks back a little further into the water. "You're, um...you're moving in?" She's a bit self-conscious about how forward Eve is being, or that while Corrin did technically invite her to come live with her (more than that, far more than that), she's not exactly unhappy with the idea of the younger girl taking her up on it.
"I suppose not." She concedes. "But even so I'm thankful to not retain any memory of the experience." She menaced Jasmine at least, and who know else besides; no rush was worth that loss of control. "And the outfit I was wearing ended up completely ruined. I tore completely out of it." It's a small thing compare to everything else, but Corrin liked that outfit too. Now it's just scraps of fabric. "Actually, you might be onto something there." She goes on. "Who's to say what else we might be subjected to?" It's not a thought Corrin likes to entertain, if turning on the bloodmoon was an indication she's susceptible to more of these kinds of changes. She wraps her arms around her chest anxiously. "...I don't want to hurt anybody." She says softly. What if the blood moon was just the start? If she changes again, into a werewolf or who knows what else, it's definitely only a matter of time until she hurts someone for real. Or worse.
There will be silence on Eve's end while listening to Corrin's thoughts concerning plumbing and the advancement of her world. She'll simply keep her mouth shut. After all, so much could go wrong if it were the case. Evolution should be a process. Even though it's all in good fun, it gave her more reason to not engage.
Instead, she will concentrate on the uses of magic in Corrin's world realizing magic was very real in hers'. Ice and fire, huh? "How many elements exist in your world? Other than fire and ice," she'll ask next wondering if someone knew to harness electricity. The same theory could be applied to them. That is if they find a way to safely harness it without enslaving the mage.
"Let her know I'm willing to train her as long as she is 100% serious about it and isn't a wimp over getting her ass kicked especially in the beginning," began to say Eve in a deep, but confident voice. She won't train Jasmine the same manner VOID trained her -- she'll die otherwise -- but won't go easy on her either. Spartan training is one of the best and thorough methods to teach someone to fight. Teach them early own to rely on their own instincts, body, and logic all in one go.
"You did invite me to live with you," explained Eve on her decision to move in and claim a room. Not to mention, "Someone needs to make certain you're safe because it's clear you've lowered your guard to extreme levels. It's concerning." There, she mentioned the security issues. How can Corrin be so trusting? There could be more like Eve among them or worse.
Not to mention, there is another important reason behind this decision, "You won't suffer through another transformation alone." There will be a light pause, her mind reeling over the probability if she could kill her. It wasn't difficult for memories of encountering Lia's dead body to return to her thoughts. Even if the circumstances are different, Eve will admit, "I'll kill you before you have the chance to hurt anyone."
"Well, in terms of magic, they're pretty basic." Corrin explains. "Fire, and ice I already mentioned. Thunder and wind too. Most Nohrian mages specialize in dark magic, though. Spells that drain vitality or inflict weakness. Good for the battlefield, but I'm not sure it has many applications in day-to-day life." She admits.
Eve didn't hold back, nor was she lacking for confidence in her own abilities. Corrin just nods. "I will, but I don't think you have to worry about that. Jasmine doesn't strike me as the type to whine." Now, hold a grudge? Maybe. But Eve surely wouldn't take things that far.

There's no hesitation in Eve's voice about the vow, no doubt she wouldn't act on it. Corrin reaches out and takes her hand, gently.
"...I know you would." She says softly. "And I'm grateful that you wouldn't hesitate." If it's a choice between her life or someone elses, then it's no contest whatsoever. Corrin looks up at her and smiles. "In that case, I'd love nothing more than to have you here with me." Again she finds herself stroking the other girl's hand with her thumb.
"At least those in your world have some common sense," responded Eve at the revelation over many mages preferring the dark arts vs the elemental ones. Thinking about a practical use for wind and thunder, she'll say, "Inflict weakness against those who are insomniac, wind to use for creating a new energy source, and thunder to..." That one was tricky because it depended on the voltage it uses. Eve can't help wondering, "A walking battery pack, maybe?"
Learning more about this Jasmine, Eve was starting to like her more and more. "Good. Warn her just in case. I won't hold back even if she's inexperience," began to say Eve without any hesitation. She rarely holds back against an opponent; it'd be disrespectful if she did.

As though she was grateful over getting killed, not to mention accepting the new situation as is, Eve will lower her head not knowing on the best way to react. She wanted to pull away and lecture Corrin on being too defenseless while all at once she wanted to hold her hand just as tightly. It was very strange to her. To be unable to properly react...
What would Lia do in this case? Eve will look away, thinking about it realizing -- she would smile and hug her.
Which wasn't hard to do especially when Corrin welcomes her home. When was the last time someone had said this to her? She knew the answer, but would rather not dwell on it...

"I'm grateful to you too, you know." She adds. "I was starting to think I might never get a housemate, but I'm really, really glad it's you." And then...maybe as a little "thank you" present and deciding to act on a rather crucial piece of information Eve let slip earlier, she leans into the other girl's ear.
"I'm glad I met you." She whispers into it. And if Corrin's voice gets a bit...huskier, maybe unintentionally, well, would Eve complain? Her ears are her weak spot after all.
Pulling away from the hug with an impish, knowing grin, Corrin claps her hands together. "Okay! Then we need to welcome you here properly, right? This calls for a celebration." And then she just...stands up in the tub. Yes, she's still naked, but they've crossed that bridge already and it's not like Corrin doesn't have anything Eve doesn't. It's nothing new to her, anyway, now that she's had some time to get a little more used to the girl's presence. And maybe finding out she was moving in put Corrin even more at ease around her.
"I just need to dry off and get dressed." She announces, stepping past Even out of the tub. "Then we'll get started on a proper celebratory dinner to welcome you home." She turns and looks down at her friend and now-housemate. "Deal?"
It's probably not going to be the greatest feast in the world; Corrin's cooking skills have improved, a little, but she's still quite a novice. But that's less of a concern than making Eve feel welcome in her new home and treating her to something nice.
